Who we are
We are six girls from the Chicagoland area who started Project Khidmah, an official 501(c)(3) non-profit, to pay forward the amazing opportunities we grew up with. Connected by our diverse roots, we wanted to build a direct bridge to our cultures while giving back on a bigger scale through ongoing projects around the world. To us, Khidmah isn’t just a project: it’s our way of honoring where we come from while empowering communities globally with the resources and support to thrive.
Building Stronger Communites
Hygiene Kit Initiative
Project Khidmah is launching a Hygiene Kit Initiative to support refugee families in our local community. Each kit contains essential daily items including shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary pads, combs or brushes, and laundry detergent. While these are everyday necessities for many of us, for families rebuilding their lives, these basic items can become added financial stress. Through this initiative, we aim to ease that burden and provide practical support with dignity and care.
